You're Never Too Old To Dream

It's no secret to anyone who knows me that I am longing for a piece of dirt to call my own.  (Or to borrow from my children, whatever your philosophy).  I'd like to build a sod shanty; I'd like a few chickens, a large garden and some fruit trees.  I want to live a sustainable, simple life.
I learned in my later years that a dream deferred is often a dream lost.  (I'd wanted to become a teacher since 1982 and finally got my license in 2004!)  So, now I do something every day that brings me closer to my last great dream.  Even if it's nothing more than feeding my plants, reading Mother Earth News, or adding a few dollars to the "Fin Clare" land account, I am focused on the dream.  When I sell a doll or get a royalty payment, (as little as ten bucks as much as eighty-seven dollars) it goes into the Fin Clare account.  I may be a hundred and one before I get there and I may not make it at all, but I'll leave the planet knowing I "worked the dream" every day.
My trusty little RV will be there to shelter me and my furkids as I build my home, one "bag" at a time.
